CCP could move easily from damage control to repair by committing permanently to vanity items for MT only, making them cheaper (way cheaper), and finally, by giving us the option to decant into captains quarters from the old station view.
Until you are willing to do these things, and actually do them, expect more subs to sublimate into nothing. Currently, I'm sticking around. Your horrible decisions haven't made the game unplayable, yet. But know this (and this is a rare time I will drop my credentials), my degree is in History. I do not forget the ****ing past. And neither do the rest of the player base. Drill that into your ****ing skulls now. Hoping we will forget your promises and that slow introduction of unacceptable MT is a hope made in vain.
So, in short, how long I stick around is up to CCP.

Ah well, if it is true that he threatened someone then the ban was appropriate. This does not invalidate the truth of his criticism however.

Originally by: Isis Soryu So you consider the troll DIAF as a threat? That's essentially what he did. I've done worse for 2 days now and I'm not banned. (yet)
No, I am merely not under the delusion that I am omniscient. If there was a threat then the ban was appropriate, if the document as presented was put up unedited then it is total douchebaggery on CCP's end.

If anything in that petition can reasonably be considered a real life threat then I guess when I say CCP can go **** themselves I am literally saying that I want a company to rip its **** off and shove it up its ass?
Your having trouble divining the meaning of my sentences aren't you?

Didn't the character on the cover of their memo end up going to jail at the end of the movie? CCP, you really want to make that character the ideal for your business model?

And being forced to use CQ while having the hangar view taken away is seriously trying my patience.

CCP Zulu's blog was artful in that it addressed an issue even the dumbest of us had figured out by the time he released it (that the "Greed is Good?" memo was an "academic exercise". What was artful is that it totally avoided the question everyone was asking by the time it was released and is still asking. Are there going to be MT transactions for items that effect game play? It also showed a lack of any sense of the context of the situation. Let me illustrate.
Say a man catches his wife cheating. He is furious but she manages to convince him that it was a one time thing and will never happen again. He, being the magnanimous sort, forgives her on those conditions. A month later he overhears her having a conversation with her friends on how best to cheat on a spouse and not get caught. He doesn't catch the whole conversation but is understandably furious. She explains that it was just an academic conversation, skirting around his questions as to what she intends to do and seems to fail to understand why it is not ok to have conversations about how best to cheat on ones spouse after being caught cheating.
CCP, you said no MT. You then announced vanity items and after the initial anger we decided to forgive the change in plan. We then overhear you discussing how best to go beyond vanity items. Much like this clueless wife, you seem to be sociopathically unaware as to why such an academic discussion, conducted how and when it was, is making people angry. It shows a level of being out of touch on par with the President of the United States discussing a failing economy with the Speaker of the House over a game of golf in that it is a parody of itself. It is unbelievably ironic, sad and humorous all at the same time.

Ditto. I was actually digging that they were making it, but after reading what I read, not really that interested any more.

My Review as it appears on Metacritic:
Rating 6
"This expansion, though the first installment in a multi-part release, is never the less awkward and underwhelming. It simultaneously disrupts gameplay as it was before the expansion and disrupts the previously established fluff. Though microtransactions are now nothing new in the gaming industry CCP has seemed to finally folded to investor pressure and added this feature to their game, it has been poorly received to say the least. The game is still playable if you are running a computer with modern components, chiefly a modern GPU. Those who ran the game on systems with legacy components are finding they can not play the game and are unsubscribing. Do take the time to check the new system requirements for post patch gameplay. Though CCP may publish minimal requirements, I can tell you they are not good enough. I was fortunate enough to far exceed the minimum and therefore was sparred the low end PC culling. If you are interested in EVE-O, come to it for the gameplay that has been previously established. If you come to it for Incarna, you will be disappointed."

Another irony here is that they are having an academic discussion on how to go beyond vanity items when they have not even begun to look into vanity items themselves. Race/bloodline changes, name changes, these were not even mentioned I don't think. Oh well, at this point I have become emotionally detached from it. If they go beyond vanity I'm gone, if not I stay. Balls in their court.

How unfortunate that those few are drowned out by the massive numbers thugs, thieves, drug addicts, liars, and scum with no integrity, at every level of the command structure.
